Prayer Tree - An Intercessory Prayer Ministry
- The Prayer Tree is comprised of parishioners who pray for the special
intentions of other parishioners. People call with a request for prayers for
someone who is ill or who has died or for any other reason. Prayer Tree
members pray in their own homes. The prayer "tree" is actually a telephone
"tree" or relay; members are asked to call one or two other members and
pass along the request. It is comforting to people to know that they can have
extra prayers for someone or something about which they are concerned. This
is a ministry for any age or mobility level. All one needs to do is pray when a
request comes in and call one or two other people..
