Sacristan

    Sacristans provide a vital service to the parish community. The Sacristan does
    all those things necessary to keep the sanctuary and sacristy clean and orderly.
    They oversee the “behind the scenes” preparation for liturgy, for example:
    preparing the hosts and wine, setting out the linens and checking the candles.
    After the liturgy, the Sacristan returns everything to its proper place. Individual
    instruction and supervision are provided until a person is comfortable with the
    ministry.
