HSYM is open to all high school students, whether confirmed or not. This ministry is focused on providing a faith community that will support our young people with a sense of solidarity. It is social, prayerful, communal, and faith-filled. We aim to provide support and guidance through prayer, service, and relationship building. Through community, we hope that every teen will discover and explore their uniqueness and God-given gifts.
HSYM typically meets one Sunday a month, September through May. We begin with 9am Mass then transition into Good Sunday HABITS, which includes a light breakfast, prayer, and experiencing grace-filled moments with peers and through community involvement.
Confirmed teens are encouraged to continue their faith journey and share their gifts as peer leaders on retreats and Confirmation Preparation sessions, in addition to serving in other parish ministries (i.e. on Pastoral Council and as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Greeters and Ushers).
