Welcome to Confirmation Preparation at St. Theresa Parish. We realize the importance of providing a faith community for our high schoolers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We look forward to this journey together.
Through Confirmation Preparation, we aim to provide support and guidance for the high schoolers of our parish through prayer, service, and relationship building. We hope that every teen will discover and explore their uniqueness and God-given gifts, learn to love their faith and the traditions of our faith, and recognize Christ active in their lives through community. Our ministry will offer many opportunities to strengthen faith, both individually and together.
Confirmation Preparation at St. Theresa Parish is a two year process
Sessions are September through May, typically meeting twice a month on Sunday mornings following Mass
Most students begin their freshman year of high school, but are welcome to join sophomore or junior year also
Teens are expected to participate in weekend liturgies on a regular basis, attend an annual retreat and participate in service while discerning what it means to confirm they wish to live a life based on the Catholic Church
The registration packet includes the calendar(coming soon), program requirements, registration and diocesan forms, and fee information.
Thank you for giving St. Theresa Parish the opportunity to participate in your preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We look forward to your involvement in this ministry and thank you for your openness to seeing and experiencing God through our community as we grow together in faith.
In the Sacrament of Confirmation,
the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit"
and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.
